These certified medical face masks type IIR or surgical masks are one of the measures taken by the government to prevent the spreading of the COVID-19 virus. The disposable face masks are appropriated for wearing in public transport or in stores.

Normally used in hospitals or doctor's practices, the medical face masks offer a cost-effective alternative to FFP2 face masks.

The surgical masks consist of three layers and mainly protects people in the immediate vicinity of the wearer from droplets produced during spreaking or coughing. In addition, the medical masks offer the wearer a certain degree of self-protection, as they protect against direct exposure to droplets exhaled by other people and against pathogen transmission if the wearer touches his or her face with contaminated hands.

The 3-layer face masks have a bacterial filter performance of 98% according to EN 14 683:2019 and are resistant to liquid splashes according to ISO 22 609:2004.

How to wear the medical mask correctly:

1. Wash your hands before wearing the face mask, do not touch the inside of the mask.
2. The mask should cover the nose and the mouth and should lie close to the face that no air can leave. Lightly pressing the strap on the nose helps to adjust the mask to the face.
3. The surgical mask should not be touched during it is being worn.
4. If the masks was moistened, it should be changed.
5. To remove the disposable mask, grab the loops around the ear and take it off - do not touch the front side.
6. Dispose of the surgical mask after wearing it once and wash your hands afterwards.
