TempU S8b Transport Data Logger – Reliable Temperature and Humidity Monitoring

The TempU S8b single-use data logger reliably monitors temperature and relative humidity during transport and storage. The LCD display shows the current status directly on the device. With a recording duration of up to 210 days, storage capacity for up to 32,000 readings, and an integrated USB interface, the transport data logger is ideal for cold chain and transport monitoring of sensitive goods. Recorded data are provided clearly in PDF and CSV reports. The TempU S8b complies with EN 12830 requirements and is also suitable for air freight shipments.

Activation and Use:

Before use, the desired alarm limits and recording parameters can be configured using the free Temp Management Software. To do so, the data logger is connected to a PC via the integrated USB interface. After configuration, the logger must be used immediately, as it is a single-use device and cannot be restarted once it has been activated.

Starting Data Recording

To activate the logger, press and hold the START button for more than 3 seconds. Once the corresponding start or recording symbol appears on the LCD display, the data logger has been successfully activated. Depending on the configuration, data recording starts immediately or after the previously defined start delay.

Once successfully activated, the TempU S8b can be placed with the shipment to be monitored. Its compact design makes it suitable for a wide variety of packaging and transport containers.

During recording, the LCD display can be used to check the current temperature and humidity values as well as the recording and alarm status. This allows a quick assessment of the transport conditions even before the data is read out on a PC.

Stopping Data Recording

Once the goods have arrived at their destination, the data logger is removed from the shipment. To stop the recording, press and hold the STOP button for more than 3 seconds until the stop symbol appears on the LCD display.

Important: As the TempU S8b is a single-use data logger, data recording cannot be restarted once it has been stopped.

Reading the Recorded Data

After stopping the recording, the data logger is connected directly to a PC via the integrated USB connector. The recorded temperature and humidity data are automatically provided in PDF and CSV reports. No additional software installation is required to open and evaluate the reports.

The data report provides a clear overview of the entire measurement history and facilitates the assessment of possible temperature or humidity deviations during transport and storage.
