Container Seals

Container seals for sealing cargo and overseas containers

Security seals for containers are essential security closures for international freight transportation. As high-quality container seals, they provide protection against unauthorized access and theft during transport. Container seals are available in various designs and are commonly used in the logistics and transportation industry. One of the most important characteristics of container seals is their security. They must be robust and tamper-evident to ensure the integrity of the container's contents during transport. A high-quality container seal utilizes advanced technologies and materials to detect and
prevent tampering attempts. This ensures the integrity of the goods and minimizes the risk of loss or theft. Especially for seals used on shipping containers that are transported for extended periods, it is crucial to use robust and high-quality container seals.

The use of certified container seals to protect your cargo

Another important aspect of container seals is their certification and conformity to international standards. Seals that meet the ISO 17712:2013 standard are considered secure and can be used throughout the supply chain. Certification ensures that container seals meet specific requirements regarding strength,
tamper-evidence, and identification. Seals that meet this standard and have high durability are also referred to as high-security seals. Container seals are also often referred to as bolt seals or bolt-type seals. This designation is due to the construction and functionality of the seals. Unlike cable seals or fixed-length seals, container seals do not have a sealing wire. They consist solely of a steel bolt and a locking head. Often, the bolts are coated with plastic, which protects against environmental influences and facilitates later printing of unique serial numbers and individual company logos. Furthermore, container seals are easy to handle. To seal a container, simply release the locking head from the bolt and place it onto the tip of the steel pin. No sealing tool is required for sealing. The locking head and the seal bolt are connected by a breakable point and can be easily detached by hand. Once the bolt is locked into the locking head, the container is sealed. The seal can only be removed with a bolt cutter.
